Burgundy
Burgundy is a region where the wines are made from a single type of grape, so the terroir and the wine maker's art play a major role in producing diversity in the character and the quality of the wines. Our selection is focused first and foremost on the men who make the wine and on value for money. Most of these producers are from the "new generation", in that they combine cosmopolitan experience with traditional Burgundian know-how.
Alex Gambal, has created a "boutique" wine trade in Beaune. He exercises total control over how his distinctive wines are made. Alex Gambal's wines are elegant, and hearty at the same time. His annual production is limited to 50 000 bottles for 12 appellations:
- Bourgogne Chardonnay,
- Meursault,
- Saint Aubin 1er Cru
- Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru
- Bourgogne Pinot Noir
- Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru
- Chambolle-Musigny
- Vosne-Romanée
- Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru
- Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru
- Savigny-Lès-Beaune
