Wine of the month of June: Blason d'Issan 2006, Margaux

One of the best deals of the prestigious Margaux appellation!
Second wine of Cru Classé Château d'Issan, Blason d'Issan is more fleshy and seductive than its predecessor, without losing finesse or elegance. From young vines, he expresses all the freshness of its fruit, but also knows how to enjoy a visit to the cellar, as evidenced by the lovely 2006 vintage, now ready to be led.
Château d'Issan is located in Cantenac on an excellent soil mixed with fine pebbles and sand. It is jointly owned by the Cruse family (50%), which operates Issan since 1945, associated since early 2013 with Jacky Lorenzetti, the owner of Château Lilian Ladouys and Château Pédesclaux. The 53 hectares grounds are home to 70% Cabernet Sauvignon and 30% Merlot.
