Focus on one of the best deals of the 2012 wine fair : Château Ferran
This little known wine will pleasantly surprise amateurs. Although it is not “classé”, it has largely the same quality as the reputed wines of the appellation, and it surprises with its extremely affordable price. Planted on the Martillac terrain in the 18th century by the philosopher Montesquieu, the Ferran vineyard is today expertly managed by Ghislaine and Philippe Lacoste. The grapes are hand-picked and rigorously sorted, the vinification method is classic with moderate use of new wood. All that is necessary to maintain the wine at its highest level of quality.
